12 Mar Global Cebu to face Yangon United in AFC Cup anew
Philippines Football League (PFL) club Global Cebu FC will be facing Myanmar’s Yangon United FC anew in the group stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila on Tuesday, 13 March.
Last year’s League runners up are yet to snatch their first win in the competition and are seated on the bottom of Group G with just a point on their card on a 0-1-2 win-draw-loss record.
During the club’s previous outing, they suffered a 3-0 defeat in the hands of Yangon United at the Thuwanna Stadium in Myanmar with former Global Cebu reinforcement Sekou Sylla scoring a brace against the Filipino side last 7 March.
Currently, the club from Cebu is facing a tall task of winning all their three remaining matches to bolster their chances of securing a seat in the next round of the tournament.
