06 Mar Global Cebu plays Yangon United in Myanmar
Philippines Football League (PFL) side Global Cebu FC are scheduled to play Burmese club Yangon United FC for their first meeting in the group stage of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup at the Thuwanna Stadium, Myanmar on Wednesday, March 7.
Last year’s PFL runners up are tied with Indonesian squad Bali United FC with a point on a draw and a loss on their card but are currently seated at the bottom with Bali holding a one-point edge on goal difference.
During their previous outing, Global Cebu and Bali United settled for a 1-1 stalemate at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium last February 27 with new signing Curt Dizon scoring an early goal for the Filipino club.
The club from Cebu started their campaign in the PFL on opening weekend and suffered a 2-1 loss against JPV Marikina FC at the Marikina Sports Center last March 3.
