Ceres Negros Bows Out of the AFC Champions League

2017 Philippines Football League champions Ceres Negros FC exited the AFC Champions League after yielding to Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian, 2-0, last Tuesday 30 January 2018 at the Tianjin Olympic Sports Centre Stadium.

The team from Negros showed flair against the much tougher Chinese side, but Anthony Modeste shone for the Chinese side scoring two goals.

Despite the exit from Asia’s top-club competition, Ceres will join Global Cebu in the AFC Cup group stage which begins on 13 February 2018.
