PFL Conducts First PFL Club Workshop

The inaugural PFL Club Workshop was held on 27 and 28 July 2017 in Pasig City. The two-day workshop was attended by eight participating clubs in the Philippines Football League and covered important areas on Match Operations, Media and Marketing, Disciplinary, Integrity in Sports and Club Licensing.

The PFL also invited Asian Football Confederation (AFC) officials Ms. Wen Min See, and Mr. Gerard Paulian. Ms. See conducted the session on the AFC Club Licensing Administration System (CLAS), while Mr. Paulian tackled the financial criteria required under the Club Licensing Regulations.

Following the workshop, Philippines Football League Chief Executive Officer Lazarus Jansen Xavier said: “PFL had drawn up important topics for this 2 day workshop to provide vital information for the clubs to take back and implement accordingly. It is imperative that clubs understand the importance of match operations which is nucleus, marketing operations that defines and enhances the image of the league, substantive and procedural rules governing disciplinary matters, the threat of match manipulation to our beautiful game and professionalizing club management through club licensing”
